Images created using OPT scanner win Wellcome Image Award 2011

2 images created using an OPT (optical projection tomography) scanner have won the Wellcome Image Awards 2011. The winning images can be seen in this slideshow - numbers 6 and 12. A film explaining how the OPT scanner works is also available.
The OPT scanner has been developed by MRC Technology staff in Edinburgh at the Centre for Lifescience Technologies and is based on work carried out by Dr. James Sharpe when at the MRC's Human Genetics Unit.
